Painted at Creative Hearts Art gallery, Gold Coast QLD: 18 Oct 2019 for Purple Heart Day
This piece was painted to honour those whose light shone on earth all too briefly. It honours those who have lost babies and young infants and acknowledges the unfulfilled potential of life passed to the next adventure. Tiny lights, veiled, rising above. They are forever here, yet not here with us.
I was meant to paint at Tweed Heads for International Infancy Loss Day, but I was on jury duty and not released in enough time to get there. God had given me this image – so I knew I had to paint it (because He was not surprised that I was prevented from being there in person) so I painted this on the following day at Creative Hearts Art Gallery and gave prints to anyone who attended the Purple Hearts Day ceremony. The painting is my visual storytelling of tiny souls now in heaven.
